I don't need to read this. Being IT support I see it for real.

Here's a good example: I get called into the Managing Director's office. "My laptop has gone dead - I need a new one" He says. I look around. I pick a cable up in my left hand, a cable in my right hand - holding them apart I say cynically "Is this your power cable?" Miraculously I join the two together and save the company the cost of a new laptop....

Here's another one:

Question: My PC isn't working...

Answer: PC doesn't work in "off mode"...

And another:

Question: My keyboard isn't working

Answer: keyboard works fine without coffee...

Conversation with one of our Marketing people:

Her: "I need a bigger monitor"

Me: "Why"

Her: " Because I have big things on it..."
